Meet the Artist: Isabel Isaza Patterns

We are thrilled to introduce Isabel Isaza, the artist behind Isabel Isaza Patterns and the "Anthurium" fabric collection now available on The Textile District! This stunning tropical themed collection features eight designs in multiple colorways from vibrant turquoise and ruby red, tangerine orange and golden yellows to lush greens, blues, and lavender tones! Perfect for interior design to clothing, gifts, and accessories, this versatile collection has a timeless appeal just in time for all of your Spring/Summer sewing and crafting projects.

Inspired by nature, particularly the dynamic scene from her native Columbia, Isabel's textiles are defined by vibrant colors and imagined landscapes. The design process begins with an original hand-painting (acrylics, gouache or watercolors), which in turn serve as the foundation for her pattern. Before starting her line of fabrics, Isabel developed patterns as a freelance designer for the women's apparel market, selling to well-know brands such as Banana Republic, Ann Taylor and JBrand.

When Isabel is not at her desk painting or drawing, she can be hiking the beautiful trails around Phoenix, Arizona, planning a good party or enjoying time with family and friends.
