Meet the Artist - Rita Scholz

Rita Scholz

Rita Scholz, the artist behind AmeliaRita Designs and creator of the "Spring Break" fabric collection now available on The Textile District.

Rita’s artistic journey began with studying fashion, clothing patterning and textiles in college. After graduating from Ohio State University, Rita worked as a Florida Licensed Interior Designer. As an ASID award-winning Interior Designer, her work has been featured in numerous magazines and designer show houses.

Always seeking new artistic challenges, Rita studied in Italy to expand her vision to include designing handbags and footwear. Her experience utilizing both textiles and leather has inspired her to create her own collections of fabric patterns which now can be used as home décor, fashion, and in the quilting industry.
