Meet the Designer - Calee Ceconni

Meet Calee Ceconni (she/they) with chimesdesign. Calee is a designer, multimedia artist, educator, and aspiring bass player who works and plays in the fields they love most: art and design — the blurred line between those worlds is where she thrives.

Drawn to bold colors and patterns, especially those inspired by abstract and modern art, we're excited to share the story behind Calee's collection in her own words:

"I wanted my first collection with The Textile District to represent my art style as much as possible. I gathered inspiration from styles I enjoy. I combined this inspiration with my design methods—melding traditional art tools (paint!) with modern technology (computer programming!). I generated each design in this collection by combining marks I made with ink and paint with creative code. I programmed several different lines of code to generate aspects of each pattern, such as color, placement, and layout."

Calee loves to design surface patterns, make art, code, craft, listen to and play music, and spend time outdoors. She’s in her happiest place when they get to combine all of these things! We hope you enjoy browsing her collection! Each design is available in multiple colorways and organized in three color stories for easy mixing and matching: Earthy Neutrals, Colorful Funghi, and Tie Dye!
