Designer Profile Hayley Ann Design

Hayley Belisle, surface pattern designer behind Hayley Ann Design

Meet the Artist: Hayley Belisle of Hayley Ann Design

Hayley Belisle is the surface pattern designer behind Hayley Ann Design. Based in Eugene, Oregon, Hayley creates nature-inspired fabric patterns shaped by the forests, flowers, open landscapes, and changing seasons of the Pacific Northwest and American West.

A lifelong creative and explorer, Hayley transforms the natural details she encounters into organic florals, stylized botanicals, textured abstracts, geometrics, plaids, and coordinating patterns. Her work balances relaxed movement with practical repeat structures and carefully developed color stories.

Hayley Ann Design fabrics range from earthy Western botanicals and painterly desert textures to strawberries, sunflowers, meadow flowers, vintage-inspired garden prints, and versatile geometric coordinates. The collections offer distinctive options for apparel, quilting, bedding, curtains, upholstery, accessories, and coordinated home décor.

Every design is printed to order in the USA on your choice of 15+ base fabrics with a 1-yard minimum.

Nature-Inspired Patterns with Organic Movement

Nature is the connecting thread throughout Hayley Ann Design. Wildflowers, berries, sunflowers, leaves, grasses, stones, hillsides, and shifting landscapes are simplified into patterns that retain an organic, approachable character.

Some designs capture the irregular movement of plants and natural terrain, while others translate those influences into plaids, stripes, small geometrics, and abstract textures. This balance gives each collection both expressive focal prints and practical supporting patterns.

Hayley’s palettes also reflect the natural world. Warm rust, ochre, coral, berry, golden yellow, forest green, lagoon blue, slate, cream, and misty neutrals create fabric combinations that can feel earthy, cheerful, nostalgic, or quietly contemporary.

Desert West: Western Botanicals and Earthy Textures

Desert West draws from wildflowers, juniper stems, rocky trails, desert hillsides, weathered stone, and the open landscapes of the American West. Organic florals are balanced by abstract textures and geometric coordinates, giving the collection a grounded, modern Western character.

Four coordinated color stories offer different interpretations of the landscape. Brambleberry combines rich berry, rust, coral, and dusty blue. Coral Sand uses blush, cream, olive, and warm neutral tones. Golden Mist introduces ochre, navy, cream, and softened gold. Rust + Rain pairs earthy brown and rust with blue-gray, ivory, and muted natural shades.

Desert West designs are available in Mini, Regular, and Grande scales. Smaller repeats work well for quilting, apparel, and accessories; mid-scale patterns provide broad versatility; and larger versions create greater impact across curtains, bedding, upholstery, and statement home décor.

Sweet Summertime: Florals, Fruit and Picnic-Inspired Prints

Sweet Summertime captures the color and energy of warm-weather gardens, outdoor gatherings, and relaxed seasonal sewing. Strawberries, sunflowers, airy florals, grasses, honeycomb geometrics, and picnic-inspired plaid create a cheerful group of focal and coordinating designs.

Lagoon combines fresh aquatic blues and greens with lively botanical accents, while Sunset introduces warmer coral, pink, orange, golden yellow, and sunlit tones. Both palettes can be used across apparel, quilts, table linens, children’s projects, bedding, and casual home décor.

Wild Wallflower: Vintage-Inspired Florals and Retro Coordinates

Wild Wallflower combines small-scale flowers, flowing botanical stripes, stylized sunflowers, textural patterns, and retro-inspired geometrics. The collection has a warm, collected quality that works especially well for quilts, apparel, accessories, table linens, and layered interiors.

Cinnamon offers warm brown, cream, orange, and golden tones. Sun Kissed combines berry pink, red, orange, gold, and deep teal. Winter Berry softens the collection through cream, coral, muted gray, warm yellow, and gentle natural shades.

Project Inspiration for Hayley Ann Design Fabrics

Modern Quilts and Patchwork

Build a quilt around a statement floral, sunflower, strawberry, or organic abstract, then add smaller geometrics, plaids, stripes, and textured patterns for blocks, sashing, borders, binding, and backing. Shared color stories help varied motifs feel coordinated rather than overly matched.

Apparel and Fashion Accessories

Print the floral, botanical, plaid, or geometric designs on lightweight cotton, cotton sateen, linen, or stretch fabric for dresses, skirts, blouses, camp shirts, jackets, scarves, tote bags, and other accessories.

Mini and smaller-scale patterns are especially useful for detailed garments and accessories, while larger florals and abstracts can create bold placement and movement across simple silhouettes.

Curtains, Bedding and Coordinated Rooms

Use mid- or large-scale Desert West patterns for curtain panels, Roman shades, duvet covers, pillow shams, upholstered headboards, and statement cushions. Smaller coordinates can repeat the same colors through bed skirts, pillow backs, trim, and accent pieces.

Children’s Rooms and Nursery Sewing

Gentle wildflowers, strawberries, sunflowers, grasses, and small geometrics translate naturally to children’s quilts, bedding, curtains, clothing, fabric storage, playroom accents, and handmade gifts.

Table Linens and Seasonal Entertaining

Sweet Summertime and Wild Wallflower patterns can be mixed across tablecloths, runners, napkins, placemats, aprons, café curtains, and chair pads. Fruit, flower, plaid, and honeycomb motifs create an inviting garden or picnic-inspired setting.

Upholstery and Decorative Accents

Organic abstracts, Western botanicals, and larger-scale patterns can bring distinctive color to benches, ottomans, dining seats, accent chairs, cushions, and upholstered panels. Select a suitable linen blend, cotton duck, twill, sailcloth, velvet, or other décor-weight base based on the project’s intended use.
