Jennie Hearing is the artist and surface pattern designer behind J Luna Design. Inspired by travel, fashion, nature, and the colors of the outdoors, Jennie creates modern fabric patterns using hand-drawn motifs, found natural objects, photography, watercolor, and digital techniques.
Before expanding her work into surface pattern design, Jennie spent ten years designing and operating Luna Leggings, a sustainable children’s apparel line. That experience gave her a practical understanding of how scale, color, movement, and pattern placement affect the way a textile performs in clothing and finished products.
