Meet the Designer: Ludmila Linhartova

We are excited to welcome Ludmila Linhartova, the newest textile designer to join us on The Textile District!

When asked to share a bit about herself, Ludmila explained that she has always had a passion about fashion, textile materials, crafts and decoration. She is a graduate from the College of Fashion Design Jablonskeho in 2010, and continued earned a Masters degree in Art education from Charles University in Prague, Czech republic in 2015.

"I decided to study fashion design, but shortly after graduation, I discovered that fabrics and prints are my biggest love. I could spend hours and hours browsing through tons of fabric samples, and couldn't get enough!"

While working as a fashion technologist for nearly 8 years, Ludmila was always focused on fabrics, their appearance, and characteristics. "Now I have the luck to design my own fabrics, and I am giving to the process all my passion! I am trying to bring my feelings and thoughts through using very traditional techniques of hand drawing and hand painting such as charcoal and pen draw or chinese ink calligraphy. The beauty of nature and the possibility of gentle human touch are Ludmila's biggest inspiration for designing."
