Meet the Designer - Sudie Rakusin

Sudie RakusinJoin us as we welcome Sudie Rakusin, the visual artist, sculptor, author, illustrator, and publisher behind Sudie Rakusin Designs! Currently residing in Hillsborough, NC, Sudie was born and raised in Washington, DC, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Boston University, and a Master of Fine Art in Painting from the University of Arizona.

"Being an animal activist and feminist, my artwork flows from what moves me and from where I find beauty: women, animals, the earth, color, pattern and light. It represents the deep connection I feel with these elements. Through my artwork I envision and create the world as I would like it to be – a place where harmony exists between animal and human."

We invite you to visit Sudie's online portfolio as well as follow her on Instagram (@sudie.rakusin) to catch a glimpse behind the scenes, and enjoy the art and inspiration behind the beautiful fabrics offered in this vibrant and unique designer collection: Shop Fabrics by Sudie Rakusin Design!
